Paria Canyon is the second or third level of spring break trips. This is definitely a high adventure experience. The total backpacking distance is approximately 39 miles, much of which is hiking in the Paria River, not on a trail. Scouts must have the previous experience of the Slot Canyon Adventure AND other multi-day backpacking experience.
∞ Trip Description: This backpacking trip is very challenging in that much of the time is spent backpacking in ankle to waist deep water. Because this trip is in springtime, the water can be cold. Anyone going on this trip must have the proper gear and experience to safely meet these challenges.
